Kitchen Party Ceilidh fifth anniversary! 

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Kitchen Party Ceilidh, Indy's only homegrown Celtic music radio program, will air its fifth anniversary show on Sunday, July 15! Like all KPC shows, you can hear it on Sunday at 10:00 PM EST on WICR 88.7 FM in Indianapolis, www.wicronline.org, with repeats on Monday on WXTF 97.9 FM in Harrisville, Michigan, and Friday and Saturday at 7:30 AM and 4:30 AM respectively, on www.bluesandrootsradio.com. Rockin' Dave's Roots Roundup goes live! 

I'm pleased to announce that my second radio show, Rockin' Dave's Roots Roundup, will now air every Sunday at midnight! This hour-long show focuses on rockabilly, jump blues and western swing, and it's been in the works for quite a while. Like my first show, the Kitchen Party Ceilidh, RDR2 will air on WICR The Diamond, FM 88.7 in Indianapolis. Website and podcast info will follow. Give it a listen!

New radio home for the Kitchen Party Ceilidh! 

The Kitchen Party Ceilidh, Indy's only homegrown Celtic music radio program, will be moving to WICR the Diamond, FM 88.7 in Indy. The show will make its WICR debut on Sunday, March 5. For further details, visit www.kpc-radio.com See you on the radio!

Tonic Ball details 

Dave and the New Trad Ramblers will appear at the Tonic Ball playing Grateful Dead music as part of the annual celebration. The NTRs will be playing at Pioneer, and their slot begins at 7:40. See you there!

New Irish session in town! 

The Bent Rail Brewery, 5301 N. Winthrop in Indianapolis, has begun a weekly Irish session to take place every Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. There is no charge, and all are welcome to attend. The session will feature some of the finest Irish musicians in Indy, as well as visiting players from other regions. Dave will host the second Sunday of the month. Come on out!

Dave to appear at Tonic Ball! 

Dave will be making his first Tonic Ball appearance since 2009, playing Grateful Dead music as part of the New Trad Ramblers. The Ramblers also feature Bobby Jenkins on guitar and vocals, Bruce Anderson on banjo and vocals and Chip Jackson on bass and vocals. Stay tuned for details!

Dave wins at the Midwest Fleadh 

Dave competed at the Midwest Fleadh in Cincinnati and came away with gold medals in the Mandolin Over 18 and Newly-Composed Song categories!

Sunday Kitchen Party starting up! 

I'm pleased to announce that we're starting a Sunday Kitchen Party open session at Nine Irish Brothers in Indianapolis. The session will start this Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The session will continue on the first and third Sundays of every month thereafter. I will host the session, and we'll have lots of guest players, but all who play traditional Celtic instruments are welcome to join in. See you there!
